Dogdyke is a small hamlet situated approximately one mile from the Village of Coningsby, home of RAF Coningsby, the Royal Air Force’s Southern Typhoon Main Operating Base and home to two, front line, combat ready squadrons. Operating every type of current RAF fast jet, together with the historic aircraft of the world famous Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, much of the history of the RAF in the last 70 years can be seen in the skies over Coningsby:

The Typhoon T1 and F2 and Tornado GR4 fly daily during the week and can be viewed from the comfort of your accommodation.  However, should you prefer to get a little closer, a dedicated viewing area car park is located on Dogdyke Road towards Coningsby.

Weekends are far more peaceful with the beautiful Lancaster (not to be missed), spitfire, hurricane, chipmunk and Dakota taking to the skies.  An absolute must for aviation enthusiasts.  You can get up close and personal to these beautiful planes by visiting the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, guardians of the Royal Air Force's heritage:
